APAS ANNUAL CONFERENCE

APAS hosts an annual conference in the first half of each calendar year which is open to both members and non-members. The conference incorporates a theme each year and traditionally covers a wide range of topics relevant to the surveying and spatial information community. APAS posts the reports and proceedings on our website on our Conference Resources page.

The first annual APAS conference took place in Port Macquarie in 1995, following the inaugural conference held a year earlier in Goulburn. From then on, it incorporated the annual Staff Surveyors Association (SSA) conference which started way back in 1921. In order to support the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) 24th International Congress in Sydney in 2010, APAS did not hold a conference that year.

GOVERNMENT SURVEYORS DINNER

The APAS calendar also includes a Government Surveyors Dinner in the second half of the year, including the Grant Kilpatrick Memorial Lecture.

Latest details of both events are available on our website as they become available.

  • APAS Webinar Series 2021: CPD Points

    28 April 2021

A reminder to participants in the APAS Webinar Series 2021, who wish to claim CPD points, to finish and submit the final Completion Quiz when all of the desired webinars have been viewed and quizzes completed.

The first CPD completion report was sent on 24 April, further reports will be sent to the ratified organisations on 24 May, 15 June and then the final report on 1 July 2021.

Please allow some time after your completion report has been sent (which will be on the date listed after you have finished the completion quiz) for the ratified organisation to process your CPD points.

Based on experience from last year the closer to the end of June you complete the longer it will take for your CPD points to be processed.

  • APAS Webinar Series 2021: Program updated with CPD point allocation

    19 March 2021

The APAS Webinar Series 2021 (AWS2021) will be held online 24 March - 30 June 2021. It consists of 18 pre-recorded presentations and the theme is “Adjusting for the Future”.

AWS2021 will also include Proceedings which will be published on the Resources page, just like last year's webinar series and the APAS conferences before it.

Our event has been assessed for CPD points, enabling us to offer 12.25 CPD points, including 6.75 cadastral points. The webinar series program has been updated accordingly.

Delegates will be able to access AWS2021 as many times as they like during the event period to view the webinars. If you would like to claim CPD points for some or all of the webinars, you will need to pass a multiple-choice questionnaire for each.
