APRIL 2025

The APAS2025 conference was a great success at a fantastic venue with lots of opportunities for networking and interaction with the technical exhibitors. It attracted 135 delegates with 45% from private industry, and the conference theme "Plumb Lines and Mulled Wines" proved to be very appropriate.
Congratulations to Billy Steer (ACT Office of the Surveyor-General and Land Information) for winning the Keith Haddon Memorial Prize for the best conference paper with “A brief history of NSW titles within the ACT and their redefinition”.
The conference proceedings are now available on this website under the Resources menu.
I would like to take this opportunity to again thank all presenters and our gala dinner speaker Russell Turner for contributing to a very interesting and diverse program. We very much appreciate your efforts because without you we wouldn’t be able to organise such a successful event every year.
Thanks also to the APAS committee for their hard work in making this conference happen and run so smoothly. It takes a lot of effort behind the scenes and your dedication and enthusiasm are very much appreciated.

Last but not least, a big thank you to our brilliant photographer, Simon Hine, for his efforts in documenting the conference in pictures. Once the photos have been edited, they will be made available for download online for a limited time.
Next year’s conference, APAS2026, will be held in Bowral on 16-18 March 2026. Please save the date and consider volunteering yourself, a colleague or friend to present at APAS2026. To register your interest to present, please contact me. A call for abstracts will follow in due course – please also keep an eye on our website!
